3rd and final part in this too long and drawn out saga I am normally a fan of artist Kevin O Neill but most of this seems sloppy and just a bit dull

the story is just well a complete let-down with God (possibly) being revealed as a female somewhat like Mary Poppins. The big villain a teenage boy and It just comes across as too agenda driven - and that agenda being power to women

a bit ho hum to be honest - oh it has drug taking and some plan for a satanic ritual

possibly the best part is the post hippy epilogue as such

I read this about a week ago and I am struggling to recommend it - Kevin O Neills art is fine of course but what little story there is just exists as a background to the other 2 volumes

A huge chunk to read, view and digest in this series

Though its interesting to see all the pop cultural references you are left wondering where is Moore and originality in all this? Its much like when you see a picture made out of other peoples work or a song made out of 100s of samples of other songs...an interesting technical exercise but thats it

At the end i felt that Moore is just using these other creations and not really doing anything with them other than fueling some weird feminist agenda - the misunderstanding of Flemings James Bond character is amazing

Has Moore turned into a 1 trick pony where every series has to be some highly convoluted and faux-intricate piece? I say faux because if you take away the 100s of in-jokes and references there really isnt much here at all

A nice sequel to the original LOEG but it seems to me Moore is a little obsessed with rape and like Watchmen we end up "liking" possibly the most violent character in the series

I eventually got around to watching this film last night - what a disappointment only a slightly good atmosphere, some potential and some gorgeous looking actresses save this...for a horror movie to have no atmosphere nor scares is criminal

Japan's answer to Donnie Darko - interesting but weird as hell movie - the lead actress is kind of ugly and beautiful

Largely enjoyable mix of classic anthology elements a bit of Twilight Zone here, Tales Of The Unexpected there, Hammer House of Horror in other places and mix it with a bit o near future tech of Minority Report...it would not surprise me if writer Charlie Brooker is a Philip K Dick fan

IMHO the series starts weak with the premise that a kidnapped princess would lead to a Prime Minister humiliation, weird, different but weak with the main premise being interesting yet implausible - yes suspension of belief is often necessary for a series like this but this was a stretch too far for me

Luckily the series gets better with 3 great episodes - The Entire History Of You - where people can store and replay memories ; White Bear - a Kafka-esque mind f--k where a woman with no memory is being hunted ; and White Christmas a long special containing 3 interlinked stories told by 2 men isolated in a small home during winter

Overall 8/10 - almost as good as the first 2 series of Tales OF The Unexpected which is THE benchmark for anthology shows

I have been catching up on material written by Charlie Brooker and eventually got around to watching this short series

The premise was intriguing but ultimately never really utilised that well at all and quickly shifted to the standard modern day zombie thing, where the graphics are gory but its all quick cuts and the zombies are fast

For a comedy its surprisingly short on laughs and the best moments come when from the nasty producer and the dimwitted contestant Pippa

Sadly I think this was written on auto-pilot with lots of swearing and POV camcorder type stuff replacing a decent script, character building etc etc which at nearly 5 hours in length in total is criminal - no excuse for it

Despite some good moments - the horror stuff is by numbers and never really that effective as we have seen this stuff 1000s of times - the comedy is vulgar and only funny at times

Ultimately a nice idea but not fully realised

4/10 - but for one new angle on zombies watch the film Pontypool instead

Take Neon Genesis Evangelion shorten it to 2 hours remove all signs of religious context, remove anything vaguely cerebral,or unique, make the Kaiju/the monsters look like Cloverfield rejects add lots of flashing lights and splash on a complete lack of logic.Add all the dumb cliches of nearly every action movie.

It was a great brainless popcorn flick and would have been one of the best films ever if they had just stuck to giant robots fighting giant sea monsters rather than try and have a "story" - the middle section could have easily been binned

If this movie was not so well made - the visuals are mouth wateringly good - it would be a travesty as nearly everything else sucks

Open your eyes - shut down your brain to enjoy
